Tomorrow is one of my best friends' birthdays. IL and I always joke about how "one of my best friends" is such a paradox but that's the reality, we can't separate one from the other. She is always the first to turn the page in the New Year. Jokes aside, it's not just about the age but also of how our friendship has now lasted more than a decade. Unbelievable, we are now in our late twenties and I am still learning so much, indulging in the beauty of life everyday. Sometimes, the days are darker but it is always better to see them through with rose tinted glasses and celebrate.

Whenever I come home and see my Dad at his favourite seat in the living room watching his favourite programmes on TV, I say my prayers and say thank you.

Frequency of dinners with my mum has picked up in recent years because of the effort we both bother to put in. Even though we sit in silence sometimes and simply enjoy each other's company (or so I want to believe) and the food, but I am contented.

So I continue to look around me - The boyfriend, sister, brother in law, grandparents, cousins, friends, colleagues and even acquaintances on the way - keep my sense alive every single day.
